One of the most pleasant surprises this
week was being able to see young Marisol, the young girl who
our team happened to be present during her initial meeting with
the Cerratos just one year ago. To be able to experience her
smiles and even occaisional laughter brought everyone joy,
especially those of us who saw her so emaciated 12 months ago.
Our prayer is that the Cerratos will be able to adopt her.
I am continually impressed with the team
God has assembled around Alfredo and Jennifer. The leadership
with Alfredo, Mizael and Douglas, have rock solid faith to
withstand any adversity and the workers all have an impressive
work ethic, each doing their respective jobs with joy and
excellence.
And I am equally impressed with the team
God put together from the States. Each of the sixteen
contributed uniquely and were equally valuable. For each of us
who took part in this short but powerful journey, we were
changed while participating in His work. Obvious to
everyone,the Lord is at work in the lives of every Honduran
involved in or around La Providencia. And He is also continuing
to work in us and through us. All because God is still working
in conforming us to Himself and the expansion of His kingdom.
But He answered them, “My Father is
working until now, and I Myself am working.”
